Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has spoken about Ezri Konsa injury suffered in Sunday’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Spurs.

Konsa started the game as the only professional centre-back in the team before being substituted in the 27th minute, forcing Lamarque Bogarde and Boubacar Kamara to start as a centre-back pairing. The pair are midfielders

but have to play in defence as Tyrone Mings and คาสิโนออนไลน์ UFABET ฝากถอนรวดเร็ว เริ่มต้นเล่นง่าย Pau Torres are both injury.

“We’re not thinking about playing against Spurs with Bogarde and Kamara, they’re more central midfielders than centre-backs. “

Hopefully we’ll have Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings back soon, as well as Axel Disasi next week, if everything goes well. For Konsa, hopefully it’s not a serious injury.”

Despite their lack of numbers at the back, Villa were too good for Spurs and the 2-1 scoreline flattered the visitors.

Villa booked a spot in the fifth round of the cup for the first time since 2014/15 and will be eyeing a deep run after a round where Liverpool and Chelsea exited.

Emery knows it will still be very hard to get his hands on some silverware.

“I know how much this competition means for the club and the fans,” he said. “We have won it seven times and it is always in our mind.

“It is a way for a trophy. We are here trying to compete and get prestige.

Disasi joined from Chelsea on loan on deadline day but is cup-tied in the FA Cup.
