Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Brazilian striker Joao Pedro and have reportedly made initial contact with Brighton.

Chelsea have shown increasing interest in Pedro and are considering Brighton & Hove Albion’s star striker as one of their target strikers during this summer’s transfer window.
Although Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has signed new centre-forward Liam Delap from Ipswich Town to compete with Nicolas Jackson for the 2025-26 season, he is still keen to add Pedro to the squad as he is a versatile โปรโมชั่นพิเศษจาก UFABET สมัครตอนนี้ รับโบนัสทันที attacking player who can play as a centre-forward or as a second striker.
Pedro is currently attracting interest from Newcastle United, who are in ongoing talks with Brighton, with the fee believed to be as high as £60m – double the £100m he cost to sign from Watford two years ago.
Chelsea have a good relationship in terms of business with Brighton because the Seagulls’ two most expensive players are Moises Caicedo at £100m and Marc Cucurella at £55m, while Robert Sanchez is in sixth place at £25m. All three went to Stamford Bridge two years ago.
Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler played down the incident at the time, but Pedro’s omission and Van Hecke’s continued involvement suggested the forward was at fault.
“With Joao we had a small issue in training. A type which isn’t uncommon from time to time in all football clubs,” Hurzeler said in May.
“We dealt with it internally, and the matter is closed.”
